Based on the second generation of Integrated Modular Avionics work (IMA2G)
PFS (PlatForm Simulator)
The "PFS" (Platform Simulator) is directed toward the "Functions Suppliers". It offers a deterministic and realtime platform that permits the development of applications in an Arinc653 environment and allows testing them based on:
- a simulation of the sensors / actuators
- connection to real sensors / actuators
- mixed operation allowing simultaneously the simulation of some sensors / actuators and also connection to real sensors / actuators.
The PFS is based on the Arion100 solution, which provides deterministic and real-time communication between all the connected elements. The solution is entirely configurable and offers numerous advantages, including:
- the distribution of a system time for accurate data stamping
- the possibility of reusing the same series of tests under identical circumstances
APFS (Advanced PlatForm Simulator)
The "APFS" (Advanced Platform Simulator) is directed toward the "Functions Suppliers". The APFS is obtained by adding to the PFS a function for controlling the latency time of communications on the ADCN and field buses. It is thus possible to test an application in a context as similar as possible to the reality and to verify the application's operational limits in terms of communication latency and errors injection.
Like the PFS, the APFS is based on the Arion100 technology. Its interfaces are identical to those of the PFS
FIOS (Flexible Input Output Simulator)
The "FIOS" (Flexible Input Output Simulator) is directed toward integrators. It provides a means of "replacing" the real sensors / actuators of the system under test by a deterministic and consistent and dynamical simulation environment.
The FIOS is based on Arion100 technology. Its connection to the test control software is facilitated by the use of a normalized API based essentially on 2 commands:
- Read : for data input
- Write : for data output
